HOT DAWGZ & HAND RAILS #5

So Cal's most exciting summer snowboard contest, Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails returns to Bear Mountain on Saturday, September 20, 2008. Now in its 5th year, this pre-winter snowboarding event will offer up $15,000 in prize money for competitors. For the general public, there will be three movie premieres, autograph sessions with the pros, product giveaways and much more! Hot Dawgz and Hand Rails is free and open to the public; however the snowboarding competition part of this event is for invited snowboarders only. The event will feature a unique setup that will test the skills of some of the best jumpers and jibbers in the world. Join us for the premiere of Mack Dawg Productions new film "Double Decade", Mack Dawg People's "Down with the People", as well as Bear Mountain's latest offering, "A Walk in the Park"! There will be a sponsor booth city, product giveaways, live DJ's, BBQ's, the Beach Bar, tons of snow and some of the top ranked snowboarders in the world battling it out for over $15,000 in cash and prizes. We will also be hosting a benefit for Boarding for Breast Cancer. Arrive early to purchase your pass and enjoy the party the rest of the day and into the night! Bear's Season Pass Office will open their doors at 10:00 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m.

SKY CHAIR AND GOLF

The Snow Summit Scenic Sky Chair is open daily then beginning September 7th, it will be open weekends only until the start of winter operations (weather and conditions permitting). Scenic Sky Chair hours: Sunday-Friday 9am-4pm;Saturday and holidays 9am-5pm. The Mountain Top BBQ serves lunch from 10:00am to 3:00pm daily. GOLF COURSE IN FULL SWING!
The Bear Mountain Golf Course, Driving Range, Pro Shop and Club House Grill are open daily, weather permitting. Club House hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Club House Grill serves lunch from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Bear Mountain Driving Range is open from 8:00 a.m. to dusk. Our golf ball dispenser is located at the driving range which accepts tokens or dollar bills. Tokens may be purchased at the driving range and at the pro shop. Come check out the new sand traps on fairways #3, #6 and #7. Enjoy a round of golf among the pine trees at 7,000 feet and see how much farther your ball flies.
